Purpose of the database
Although INVOLVE
is not a training provider, in our work to promote public involvement in NHS, public health
and social care research, we are keen to encourage the
broad and creative use of training to support involvement in a wide range of research situations.
INVOLVE has therefore developed this simple online
database containing searchable information about who is providing
what training and where. It provides a list of trainers in the selected fields, and the final choice of which training to use is left to the discretion of the database user. See the 'Support for Training' and 'TRUE guidelines' pages for tips on selecting and negotiating good quality training provision.
The information shown in individual database entries is the responsibility of the training providers themselves. The database is in no way a list of 'approved' training providers,
although those who have submitted their details have to provide evidence
of meeting certain criteria that INVOLVE has set. They have also been asked to abide by a code of conduct.
If you are looking for specific training events, we recommend you try our training notice board. Click in the box below to search the database, see the noticeboard, or to add your own information.
